The following tips we'll explain How To Back Up Your PS3 Games And Save Them To A Memory Stick (MS Duo, CF, SD, MMC). (Note, the files have copy protected game, example: NDFS: carbon), you can backup the game in different ways.
Although the PS3 failure rate is very low compared to the Xbox 360, the backup file is not a bad idea for you later in case something happens to your device.
Back-Up Game and store them on Memory Stick

1. On the XMB (cross media bar), go to the Game.
2. Go to Game Saves
3. Insert the memory stick (cf, ms duo, sd)
4. Find a game file you want to copy / backup, highlight the file and had recently triangle button.
5. Select the menu option to copy
6. Press the X button on the memory stick and let the copy.

Some games have protection in their game files. To be able to backup the file you can not simply to copy, you need to backup the actual system.
To perform a complete system backup (this will basically copy ALL, music photos, video and game files and settings on the PS3 to backup folder, you will need to have an external usb hard disk or flash with enough capacity.
In the XMB, go to the System
then to Settings> System Settings> Backup Utility
Then select Back Up
Finally, you select the device for backup (memory stick, usb harddrive, etc)
